It’s super easy to make delicious Tandoori chicken in the air fryer. If you love Indian food you must have come across with Tandoori chicken or Chicken Tandoori. It’s very popular and requires a ‘Tandoor’ which is a special kidn of oven to make this falvourful delicious chicken dish. But if you have an Air fryer at home then give this recipe a try and you will be amazed at the result.

To make this delicious Air fryer chicken tnadoori, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Chicken – Any Chicken piece can be used but drumsticks and thighs are the most flavourful parts.
  • Greek Yogurt – You can use any thick yogurt.
  • Salt – Adjust salt according to your taste.
  • Paprika – Gives smokey color and flavor to the dish.
  • Cayenne – Gives a kick to the grilled meat.
  • Turmeric Powder – Gives the traditional flavour to this Tandoori chicken.
  • Garam Masala Powder – Is one of the essential spices for this chicken dish.
  • Cumin Powder – Skip if you do not have it to hand but flavour might compromise.
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – You can either paste or powder. These help eliminate bad odor from poultry.
  • Tomato Paste – Adds depth of flavour to the dish.

  • Oil – You can use any mild oil of your choice.

How To Make Tandoori Chicken At Home In Air Fryer

Prepare the Chicken Drumsticks:

  • Clean and pat dry chicken pieces and then make some butterfly cuts on them to help marinade spread all over.

Prepare the Marinade:

Make a Tandoori chicken marinade by mixing Greek yogurt, Salt, Paprika powder, Cayenne, Turmeric powder, Garam masala powder, Cumin powder, Ginger garlic paste, Tomato puree and Lemon juice. Mix everything together to make a thick paste.

Marinate the Chicken:

  • Add the delicious marinade on chicken pieces, ensuring each piece is well coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for the best flavor.

Oil Coating:

  • Add oil to chicken and then give a final mix before placing them in the air fryer basket.

Cook the Chicken In Air Fryer:

  • Place the marinated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry the chicken at 390°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. The chicken should be cooked through with a slight char on the outside.

Check for Doneness:

  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chicken. It should reach 165°F (74°C).

  1. Refrigeration: Store leftover chicken in the fridge for 2-3 days. Make sure it’s covered properly.

  • Potatoes – A few varieties of potatoes works great for making fries. Try using either Maris Piper, King Edward, or Rooster as they make the best fries. How many to use will depend on the size of your air fryer and off course how many people you are cooking for.
  • Olive Oil – Only little oil is required for making the best air fryer fries. However, you can cook them without oil as well but the results will be bit different.
  • Salt – I always put them when seasoning but some like to add them towards the end.
  • Black Pepper Powder – Makes a great pair with salt for a mild kick.
  • Garlic Granules – It’s optional but gives such a nice flavor to the potato fries.
  • Paprika – Brings out a rusty color as well as gives a smokey flavor to the homemade chips.

Once you have gathered all the ingredients, follow these step-by-step instructions for making Air fryer Potato Fries:

  1. Cut potatoes, wash in cold water and pat dry in a cloth. This will help you to get rid of starch.
  2. Next add in all seasoning with drizzle of oil and give a good toss.
  3.  Throw in air fryer basket and set at fries or manually do them @200 C for 18-20 minutes shaking once or twice in the middle.

That’s it! Your homemade Air Fryer crispy golden potato fries are all ready. I must warn that they are very addictive but don’t worry, it’s with so little oil.

Selecting the Right Ingredients for your Air fryer Potato Fries

1. Right Potatoes

Not all potatoes are for great for making crispy fries. Try using either Maris Piper, King Edward, or Rooster as they make the best fries.

Should I Rinse Potatoes Or Not

Homemade potato fries are the best as they are made with the best possible care and ingredients. However, sometimes we get confused on so may aspects such as whether to wash and rinse potatoes before frying or not. We all like to have restaurant quality fries at home and that requires using the right ingredients and following important steps. Washing potatoes help them get rid of not only dirt but also starch. Starch will prevent potatoes from getting crispier and that is why it’s important to wash them after cutting. Now comes that part for rinsing, drying them with the help of a towel makes sure your fries will not turn up soggy. That is why i always rinse and dry my potato slices before throwing them in the ai fryer basket.

Olive oil, Rapeseed oil and Avocado oil goes well for Air fryer potatoes; use very little though. If you don’t have any of these oil to hand then use regular sunflower or canola.

why aren’t my air fried potato chips cooked properly?

If your air fried potato chips didn’t cook to your liking then cook them for a few more minutes. Cooking times will vary depending on the potatoes you use, the thickness of the chip and your air fryer. If your air fryer chips are too soggy, then make sure you are drying them with some kitchen towel before adding them to the air fryer. If you are finding that they are burnt, then try using less oil and reducing the cooking time. This recipe really does depend on how you cut the fries and your air fryer – they all cook things differently.

How to Store Kale Chip:

The good news is, you can make these snacks ahead of time and enjoy for couple of days. Although it takes just 5 minutes to make air fryer healthy Kale chips but you can keep them crispy for couple of days when you store this leafy snack in an air tight container. But these healthy low carb chips are best enjoyed fresh and it takes just few minutes to make them fresh in the air fryer.

How To Make Air Fryer Kale Chips

Ingredients List

Kale – Fresh Kale leaves makes the delicious chips. Wash them thoroughly and pat dry to make ready for the fry.

Olive Oil – You may use Olive, Avocado or Rapeseed oil.

Salt – Just a little will go long way.

Black Pepper Powder – You can skip using it if kids find it too strong.

Powder or Granules – Any flavoring of your choice is perfect for Kale chips. I like to use Garlic and onion granules.

Dried Herb – I like to use some dried herbs such as Oregano but it’s not crucial.

Instructions

Wash and dry your kale leaves properly. Remove the tough centers of the stem, then either cut with a knife or tear the leaves into smaller pieces. Add to a large bowl.

Toss with oil and seasonings of choice. I like to use Olive oil and Avocado Oil. Seasoning is personal preference. I mostly like to add in salt and pepper to taste and little garlic flakes, oregano and sometimes onion granules. I also have included some suggestions below.

Air Fry. Place the seasoned kale leaves in air fryer basket. Set air fryer temperature to 400°F/200°C and set timer for just 5 minutes or until they are crispy! You may shake the basket or stir after two minutes to help the kale chips cook evenly.

Tips For Making The Best Kale Chips:

Make sure to dry your kale leaves before cooking. You can do this by leaving the washed or torn pieces of kale out on a towel for about an hour, or for a quicker solution use a salad spinner.

Do not overcrowd the leaves. Overcrowding will not help them get cooked properly which will result in not crispy or burnt kale chips.

Use an air fryer basket liner for easy clean up. I buy mine from Amazon and use them for most of the air frying that I do.

Seasoning Ideas For Making Air Fryer Kale Chips

The best thing about making Air fryer healthy Kale chips are you can use any seasoning of your choice. In this recipe I have used salt, pepper, garlic and oregano. many other options could be:

  • Onion Powder

What is Baked Oats?

Baked Oats have taken the world by storm. It’s such a delicious way of enjoying healthy Oats. Oats have long been used in porridge and other recipes. But recently baking with oats have become much popular and the reason is they are very tasty and easy to make. Moreover, they come out like cakes and there are loads of flavouring options. I love experimenting with different ingredients for making baked oats. In this recipe I have combined Oats with Peanut butter and Chocolate making it taste like a cake baked in the oven.

These Peanut butter and Chocolate baked oats are soft and fluffy. And for making this recipe you won’t even need oat flour. All you need is a blender jug and then dump everything in it and blend. And that is your easy-peasy simple batter. It tastes like cake but it’s much easier to make.

Amazingly, baked oats taste much like cakes. They are soft and fluffy and is so enjoyable.

Why I like this recipe:

Gluten Free: I love this recipe as this is Gluten free. It’s like a cake but it does not require any flour. Oats are Gluten free and making these with Oats makes them just perfect for anyone who is either Gluten intolerant or prefers not to have Gluten in their Diet.

Easy to make: All you need is a blender jug to mix everything and it’s that simple. If your family is big and you want to make triple or even 4 times the recipe, still you can make the batter using just one jug. So much time saving.

Great for breakfast: Breakfast is the first meal of the day and having something healthy is a wise idea. Oats keep you fuller for longer and having Oats in a different way than same old porridge works great for breakfast.  

Kids just love them: Kids love having baked Oats. And why wouldn’t they, it tastes like cake and it has Peanut butter and chocolate inside. It’s a great way to give them something healthy for breakfast or even at other times of the day. Sometimes I give it to my toddler as a treat….Shhhhh!!

Works great for weight loss: Oats are great substitute for flour and they make such a delicious meal. You can skip or add less chocolate for the recipe and adjust it to your dietary requirement.

Makes a good dessert too: These baked oats with peanut butter nad chocolate makes a great dessert for big and small.

Is baked Oatmeal healthy?

Oat flour is Gluten free and it’s high in Protein and Fibre. Furthermore, Oats are gut friendly compared to flour. Besides, they keep you full for longer as the energy is released slowly. For this recipe I have used maple syrup which is plant based and is so much better than sugar. You may also use honey.

Peanut butter and chocolate Baked oats Ingredients

Ingredients

Oats: Use classic rolled oats for this recipe. If you prefer you may also use oat flour but as all the ingredients will go to a blender, you don’t need any Oat flour.

Milk: You can use any milk of your choice. For this recipe I have used dairy milk but if you prefer to use plant based milk, Almond milk will be a great alternative. Quantity will be the same.

Banana: Make sure the Banana is ripe as the riper the Banana is the better it is for baking.

Egg: Use one large egg and make sure egg is at room temperature.

Peanut Butter: I like using smooth Peanut butter but you may use crunchy one if you prefer so.

Maple syrup: Maple syrup adds sweetness to the bake. Try to use pure Maple syrup. You can use either Maple syrup or Honey for this recipe and quantity will be same.

Baking Powder: It helps the oats to rise and makes it fluffy.

Cinnamon Powder: Adds flavour to the bake and everything blends so well.

Salt: A pinch of salt brings out sweetness even more.

Peanut butter and chocolate Baked oats

HOW TO MAKE Baked Oats with Peanut Butter and Chocolate:

Ingredients

Classic Oats – 1/2 Cup

Milk – 1/4 Cup

Large Egg – 1

Ripe Banana – 1

Peanut Butter – 1 Tbsp

Maple Syrup or Honey – 1 Tbsp

Cinnamon Powder – 1/4 tsp

Baking Powder – 1/4 tsp

Salt – 1/8 tsp

Instructions

First Pre heat oven to 180 C. Put all ingredients in a blender jug and blend to a batter.

Grease two ramekins with some butter and divide the mixture. Add some chocolate chips in the batter and mix. Then finally put some more on top.

Bake for 23-25 minutes and enjoy!!

HOW TO MAKE THE DRINK:

Ingredients

1.5 Litre Water

2 Inch Ginger

2 Organic Lemons

1 Stick of Cinnamon

Cayenne Pepper or Hot Pepper Powder

Honey to taste

Instructions

Take skin off from Ginger and grate finely using a grater. Cut Lemons in halves and squeeze juice out in a small bowl. Then cut slice the lemons.

Put water in a pan and put Lemon rings, grate Ginger and Cinnamon stick and boil them for 20 minutes. 

After 20 minutes of rolling boil, switch off the flame and cover the mixture and leave it for 10 minutes.

Sieve the mixture in a jug. Add Lemon juice and stir to mix.

When and how to consume this drink

When preparing the drink, put the drink in a glass and then add 1 tsp honey and 1/4 Cayenne pepper or hot pepper powder and mix. Have first glass in empty stomach 1 hour before having any food and the rest throughout the day.

  • 1/4 Per Glass Cayenne Pepper or Hot Pepper Powder
  • Honey To Taste

Instructions

  • Take skin off from Ginger and grate finely using a grater.
  • Cut Lemons in halves and squeeze juice out in a small bowl. Then slice the lemons.
  • Put water in a pan and put Lemon rings, grate Ginger and Cinnamon stick and boil them for 20 minutes. 
  • After 20 minutes of rolling boil, switch off the flame and cover the mixture and leave it for 10 minutes.
  • Sieve the mixture in a jug.
  • Add Lemon juice and stir to mix.
  • When preparing the drink, put the drink in a glass and then add 1 tsp honey and 1/4 Cayenne pepper or hot pepper powder and mix.
