What kind of yogurt should I use?

It would be best to use Greek or Greek style yoghurt. Greek yoghurt are thick and makes it appropriate for making these barks. The water content in Greek yoghurt is much less than regular yoghurts. They freeze well and taste great too.

What if your child is allergic to nuts?

If your child is allergic to nuts, or anyone in the family is allergic to them, then you can skip adding nuts to the barks and use a variety of alternatives. You can even make them with just fruits and other spreads. A tasty alternative to Peanut butter would be caramel sauce or melted chocolate. 😉

How do they taste?

These frozen yoghurt barks are so tasty. If you find them a bit sourish, you can always add some honey or other liquid sweetener on top. Sometimes berries could be a little bit on the sour side or your little ones might not like their ice cream alternative that way. Just use some honey on top and it will become sweet. Plus honey is another extremely healthy ingredient to enter their body. I would recommend not to pour honey before serving as it will make the box sticky.

Ingredients For Making Frozen Yogurt Bark:

Banana: Use ripe Bananas for best result. Depending on the size of the Bananas you might need more or less of them.

Greek Yogurt: Greek yogurt are less runny and hence gives the best result for these Frozen yogurt barks. They taste much better as wel..

Raspberries: You may add any fruit of your choice but Raspberries are such bright and colorful that it makes them look vibrant.

Peanut butter: You can take any variety of peanut butter; smooth or with bits. Nut free substitutes would be caramel sauce and melted chocolate.

Almonds: Slice almonds roughly for better texture. If you are allergic to nuts just skip it and these Frozen yogurt barks will still taste great.

Tips For Making Frozen Yogurt Bark:

Use Full Fat Yogurt: For best taste use Full fat yogurt. Also, the Yogurt barks will set nicely with a full fat yogurt as there will be less water content. I love using Greek full fat yogurt for my Frozen yogurt bars.

Use a Baking Sheet: It will make it so much easier to lift the bark from the pan. Otherwise your yogurt barks might break while lifting and you might end up scrubbing your pan to get rid of the leftover yogurt patches.

Be patient: It takes hours for the bark to set and don’t try to lift them before time as it will make a crack and the end result will not be as gorgeous.

Mum Hack:

Give it to your little one who is teething and the cold from the barks will help soothe their painful swollen gums. Add some honey on top to make them sweeter if your little one is not a fan of sourness that might come from the berries.
