I’m always on the lookout for fun recipes that my toddler will enjoy making with me. Mess apart, baking with my kid brings me a lot of joy. These colourful cookies are very easy make and with just little supervision your 3 year old can make some beautiful looking baked goodies.

Ingredients
Unsalted Butter: The recipe requires unsalted Butter. Make sure you grab the right one from the supermarket and it’s crucial to have it at room temperature.
Sugar: The recipe calls for caster sugar. If you do not have caster sugar to hand, just grind some granulated sugar and that should do the job.
Vanilla Essence: Vanilla is used for flavouring. Try to use a good quality one.
Condensed Milk: This in unusual item for cookies but makes the dough perfect for these cookies.
Flour: Just regular plain flour for making these lovely cookies.
Corn Starch: Makes the cookies denser.
Food colour: I have used gel food colouring but you can also use powder food colouring but never liquid food colour.
Sesame Seeds: Adds a nice texture and look for these cookies but it’s optional.

Top Tips:
Make sure ingredients are at room temperature. This is crucial for perfect baking.
Try to use quality ingredients such as for Butter and Food colouring.
Let the dough rest. For this recipe the dough needs to rest twice. Once after kneading and once after the shapes are done. This is crucial for getting the shapes right.
Storage
If you don’t plan on serving these cookies right away, wait until they have fully cooled and then store them in an airtight container. This will keep the cookies fresh for few days. You can even put the dough in the fridge for up to two days. You must thaw it before making cookies.
HOW TO MAKE Tzatziki Sauce:
Ingredients
100 g Unsalted Butter
70 g Caster Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
30 g Condensed Milk
150 g Plain Flour
10 g Corn Starch
1 tsp Sesame Seeds
Food Colouring
Instructions
First beat Butter in a bowl for 1 minute. Add caster sugar and Vanilla beat. Add condensed milk and beat again.
Next add Flour and Corn Starch and fold everything.
Transfer the dough into a working surface and knead into a dough ball.
Divide the dough into two and add colour to one portion.
Put cling film on the dough and let them rest in the fridge for 15 minutes.
Make some small balls with the dough (4g) and place 5 balls to make a circle. Now put a parchment paper on top of the circle and gently press the balls with something on top. You may use fondant tools to make some impression on the flower petals. Use a contrast colour for the centre petal and roll it inot some sesame seeds for an eye catching look. Let the flowers rest in the fridge again for 15 minutes.
Bake at 160 C for 15 minutes. Let cool down for 5 minutes and then transfer.
Pink Flower Butter Cookies

- Put cling film on the dough and let them rest in the fridge for 15 minutes.
