Simple Halloween Oreo Bats that come together in a snap. Cute spooky and easy to make Halloween treats for the little ones.

I love experimenting with food during Halloween season. It’s so much fun and the end results are Spooky! But what I don’t like is spending my whole day in the kitchen just for making something fun and attractive to the kids. These Halloween Oreo Bats are one of my favourites during Halloween because all I am doing is breaking and assembling them and that’s it.

If you have kids at home you can include them in the process and the whole family can have some fun making party arrangements together. It’s more like a craft project and most kids loves crafts and making things. My little ones loves to put the eyes on top apart from taking the Bats for gobbling right away.

I would like to point out here that you can make these Halloween Bats with many other cookies, it does not have to be Oreos but the reason for using Oreos are their colour which are so similar to Bats natural colour.

Why I Love Making Them During Halloween?

So simple: There is literally no cooking, baking or much effort required for making these spooky Halloween bats with Oreo cookies. Within five minute, you can make at least 15-20 of them which is good enough for filling up a party platter. 

They are Cute: Although these Halloween snacks are meant to be spooky, and Googly eyes does a really good job, but they look so cute. When you put these Halloween Oreo bats in a platter, they catch eyes and not only kids but everyone would want to have a bite.

Handful of ingredients needed: You need only three ingredients to make these spooky treats. And if you don’t have a Google Ads to hand, you can use some melted, chocolate or chocolate chips as eyes, and they will work great too.

Make in advance: For any party, I like a combination of food that I can make ahead of time. The Halloween snacks are something you can make in advance and put in an airtight container.

Versatile Uses: These Oreo bats are simple to make but you can use them in many different ways. They obviously can be set in a platter and I have done that for Halloween parties along with other spooky homemade snacks. They make great cupcake toppers. You may also put them in individual snack packs for a take away.

No Baking or Cooking: Making these snacks is literally just breaking cookies and joining them with Chocolate! Is there anything easier than that?

Mum Hack for making Halloween Oreo Bats:

Out of experience from making these Halloween Oreo Bat treats I can give you one very helpful tips. Number one is always have some extra Oreos to hand as they have a tendency to break easily. To prevent Oreos from breaking gently press them. When you press the top on the wings, be gentle as there is not a good balance beneath for them to hold itself. If you press hard, then it can break.

HOW TO MAKE HALLOWEEN OREO BATS:

Ingredients

Oreos – 30

Goggly eyes – 40

Melted chocolate – 3-4 Tbsp

Instructions

First twist one Oreo cookie to separate them.

Next take the side that does not have cream on it and carefully break it into halves. It does not need to be neat really.

Now press both broken pieces into the middle of the creamed side. 

Put another piece of Oreo half side on top.

Apply two drops of melted chocolate and put 2 Goggly eyes. All done!
