How do you make crispy thin chocolate chip cookies?
Making chocolate chip cookies is easy. You combine Butter, Sugar, Egg and Vanilla and then mix in Flour and Baking powder/soda; roll into balls and bake. Now, the catch here is how much of each ingredient? white sugar or brown sugar? How long to bake? and weather to use baking powder or soda? Now, it took me a while to come up with the right amount for all ingredients used in this recipe and the baking time and the result is just wow!!
These cookies make a great house warming gift. It will make your guests tea or coffee more tasty and kids will just die for it. It’s such a great treat for the whole family. The best part is you don’t even need a lot of time for making them. It’s a straight forward recipe and you can double or triple the batch and freeze the rest of the dough for future fresh baking.
Ingredients
Butter: I have used butter in melted form. Make sure to use unsalted butter and it must be at room temperature.
Sugar: Two types of sugar is used in this recipe. White sugar gives sweetness and brown sugar works its magic for giving the cookies the desired crunch and soft colour.
Egg: Only one egg is required for making one batch of cookies. Make sure to use a large egg and at room temperature.
Flour: Just regular plain flour is required. It’s better to sieve flour before using to avoid lumps.
Baking Soda: It encourages the cookies to spread and thin out making them crispy.
Salt: Just a little salt helps adjust sweetness.
