Popcorn Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Chicken Thigh
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp Frankie is hot sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 & 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Cornflower
  • 500 ml Cold water
  • Oil for frying

Flour Coating

  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chill Powder 
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Ginger powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Granules
  • 1 tsp Oregano

Instructions
 

  • Cut chicken pieces into bite sizes.
  • Put Salt, Black pepper powder, Paprika, Garlic powder, Frankie’s red hot sauce, Mayonnaise and an egg on chicken and mix well. Marinade for 1/2 hour or longer if you prefer.
  • Make a flour coating mixture by adding Flour, Cornstarch, Salt, Black pepper powder, Red chili powder, Garlic powder, Ginger powder, Onion granules and Oregano and mix well.
  • Coat chicken pieces in flour mixture and shake off excess.
  • Dip them in cold water for few seconds and shake off excess water.
  • Recoat chicken pieces in flour mixture and shake off excess.
  • Deep fry them in hot oil.
  • Shake off excess oil and put on cooling rack with kitchen towel underneath.
