How to Make Spicy Tiger Prawns
It’s very easy to make this delicious and fancy looking side dish that everyone would love to have. You can make them for dinner for family and it also works great for Barbeque parties. It requires just few ingredients and you can alter them according to your taste and preference.
To make this spicy Tiger prawns at home, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- Tiger Prawns – Try to use big ones for better taste.
- Dried Red Chili – You can use mild ones for kids.
- Garlic Clove – Goes very well with any seafood.
- Onion – Just a little for adding thickness to the marinade.
- Mayonnaise – Adds extra flavor to the dish.
- Coriander leaves – This is a flavor enhancing herb.
- Lemon Juice – This will add extra flavor to the prawns as well as make balance heat.
- Smoked Paprika – Gives smokey color and flavor to the dish.
- Salt – Adjust salt according to your taste.
- Olive Oil – You can use other varieties of oil as well.
How To Make Spicy Tiger Prawns:
- Make butterfly cuts to open up prawns.
- In a pan over medium heat add Olive oil and sauté Dried red chili’s, Garlic and onion for couple of minutes. Let cool slightly and then transfer into a grinder.
- Add Mayonnaise, Salt, Lemon juice and coriander leaves and grind into a paste.
- Apply on prawns and sprinkle some Smoked paprika on top.
- Put Olive oil in the same pan and place the prawns marinade side down.
- Apply marinade to the top and sprinkle Paprika and sauté for 2-3 minutes or until cooked.
- Pro tip: Make the marinade in advance and for party. On the day just apply marinade and fry fresh to save time.
- Pro tip: Adjust and play with different seasoning for different taste.
Storing Leftover Prawns
These tiger prawns are always fully finished in our home as they are everyone’s favorite. However, in many occasions there could leftover that that you can store for later consumption. You can store this cooked tiger prawns in an air tight container in the fridge for up t 2-3 days. You can also freeze them for later use in other recipes.

Ingredients
- 20 Tiger Prawns
- 4 Dried Red Chili
- 1 Garlic Clove
- 1/4 Onion Medium
- 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp Coriander leaves – 2 TbspLemon Juice – 1 tspSmoked Paprika- 1 tspSalt – 1/4 tspOlive Oil – 2 Tbsp
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika- 1 tspSalt – 1/4 tspOlive Oil – 2 Tbsp
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
