Top Tips For Making Crispy Chicken Bites In The Air Fryer
- Don’t Overcrowd the Basket: For the crispiest results, make sure the chicken pieces have space around them in the air fryer basket.
- Shake : Shaking or flipping the chicken bites halfway through cooking ensures they cook evenly on all sides.
- Experiment with Seasonings: Feel free to customize the seasoning blend to suit your taste. Add a bit of cayenne pepper for heat or some Italian seasoning for a different flavor profile.
Storing and Using Leftover Chicken Bites
Storing crispy chicken bites properly ensures they retain their flavor and texture when you want to enjoy them later. Here’s a guide on how to store them effectively:
In the Refrigerator
Cool Completely: Before storing, let the chicken bites cool completely at room temperature. Storing them while still warm can create condensation, leading to sogginess.
Use Airtight Containers: Place the cooled chicken bites in an airtight container. This helps to maintain their crispiness and prevent moisture from getting in.
Refrigerate: Store the airtight container in the refrigerator. The chicken bites will keep well for up to 3-4 days.
In the Freezer
Cool Completely: As with refrigeration, allow the chicken bites to cool completely at room temperature.
Flash Freeze: Arrange the chicken bites in a single layer on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 1-2 hours, or until the bites are frozen. This prevents them from sticking together later.
Transfer to Freezer Bags: Once the chicken bites are frozen, transfer them to a freezer-safe ziplock bag or airtight container. Label the bag or container with the date.
Freeze: Store the chicken bites in the freezer. They can be frozen for up to 2 months without losing much quality.
