Baked Oats Recipe
Simple oats turned into a delicious breakfast treat by adding Peanut butter and Chocolate chips.
What is Baked Oats?
Baked Oats have taken the world by storm. It’s such a delicious way of enjoying healthy Oats. Oats have long been used in porridge and other recipes. But recently baking with oats have become much popular and the reason is they are very tasty and easy to make. Moreover, they come out like cakes and there are loads of flavouring options. I love experimenting with different ingredients for making baked oats. In this recipe I have combined Oats with Peanut butter and Chocolate making it taste like a cake baked in the oven.
These Peanut butter and Chocolate baked oats are soft and fluffy. And for making this recipe you won’t even need oat flour. All you need is a blender jug and then dump everything in it and blend. And that is your easy-peasy simple batter. It tastes like cake but it’s much easier to make.
How does Baked oats taste like?
Amazingly, baked oats taste much like cakes. They are soft and fluffy and is so enjoyable.
Why I like this recipe:
Gluten Free: I love this recipe as this is Gluten free. It’s like a cake but it does not require any flour. Oats are Gluten free and making these with Oats makes them just perfect for anyone who is either Gluten intolerant or prefers not to have Gluten in their Diet.
Easy to make: All you need is a blender jug to mix everything and it’s that simple. If your family is big and you want to make triple or even 4 times the recipe, still you can make the batter using just one jug. So much time saving.
Great for breakfast: Breakfast is the first meal of the day and having something healthy is a wise idea. Oats keep you fuller for longer and having Oats in a different way than same old porridge works great for breakfast.
Kids just love them: Kids love having baked Oats. And why wouldn’t they, it tastes like cake and it has Peanut butter and chocolate inside. It’s a great way to give them something healthy for breakfast or even at other times of the day. Sometimes I give it to my toddler as a treat….Shhhhh!!
Works great for weight loss: Oats are great substitute for flour and they make such a delicious meal. You can skip or add less chocolate for the recipe and adjust it to your dietary requirement.
Makes a good dessert too: These baked oats with peanut butter nad chocolate makes a great dessert for big and small.
Is baked Oatmeal healthy?
Oat flour is Gluten free and it’s high in Protein and Fibre. Furthermore, Oats are gut friendly compared to flour. Besides, they keep you full for longer as the energy is released slowly. For this recipe I have used maple syrup which is plant based and is so much better than sugar. You may also use honey.
Ingredients
Oats: Use classic rolled oats for this recipe. If you prefer you may also use oat flour but as all the ingredients will go to a blender, you don’t need any Oat flour.
Milk: You can use any milk of your choice. For this recipe I have used dairy milk but if you prefer to use plant based milk, Almond milk will be a great alternative. Quantity will be the same.
Banana: Make sure the Banana is ripe as the riper the Banana is the better it is for baking.
Egg: Use one large egg and make sure egg is at room temperature.
Peanut Butter: I like using smooth Peanut butter but you may use crunchy one if you prefer so.
Maple syrup: Maple syrup adds sweetness to the bake. Try to use pure Maple syrup. You can use either Maple syrup or Honey for this recipe and quantity will be same.
Baking Powder: It helps the oats to rise and makes it fluffy.
Cinnamon Powder: Adds flavour to the bake and everything blends so well.
Salt: A pinch of salt brings out sweetness even more.

HOW TO MAKE Baked Oats with Peanut Butter and Chocolate:
Ingredients
Classic Oats – 1/2 Cup
Milk – 1/4 Cup
Large Egg – 1
Ripe Banana – 1
Peanut Butter – 1 Tbsp
Maple Syrup or Honey – 1 Tbsp
Cinnamon Powder – 1/4 tsp
Baking Powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt – 1/8 tsp
Instructions
First Pre heat oven to 180 C. Put all ingredients in a blender jug and blend to a batter.
Grease two ramekins with some butter and divide the mixture. Add some chocolate chips in the batter and mix. Then finally put some more on top.
Bake for 23-25 minutes and enjoy!!

- 1 Egg Large

- 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup or Honey
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
- 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/8 tsp Salt
Instructions
